With its three leading scorers struggling, Florida still found a way to beat Mississippi State 69-62 and continue its string of success in Southeastern Conference play.

"I think that shows how good this team is," said Florida junior Chandler Parsons. "Players are not always going to have their best games shooting the basketball but we were able to go inside for points when the shots weren't falling. Other guys were able to step up. Walker jumper lifts Florida over Alabama 66-65 (AP)
Erving Walker scored 14 points in the second half, including a jumper with 11 seconds left, to lift Florida to a 66-65 victory over Alabama on Thursday night. With the Gators (16-6, 5-3 Southeastern Conference) ahead 64-60 and 1:59 left, Anthony Brock stole the ball from Walker and scored on a three-point play.

Tennessee was down by a point with 25 seconds left when coach Bruce Pearl called a timeout to set up the Volunteers' final play. Scotty Hopson figured the ball would be in the hands of go-to post player Wayne Chism. Instead, Pearl made Chism the decoy this time and told Hopson to take the shot. Alex Tyus scored 23 points, Erving Walker and Kenny Boynton added 21 apiece, and Florida beat Georgia 87-71 Wednesday night. The Gators (15-5, 4-2 Southeastern Conference) extended their winning streak to four and continued their recent domination in the series. Florida has won 12 of the last 13 meetings.
